Welcome to your Follicular Phase! The Follicular Phase starts the day your menstruation ends and lasts on average 7 days. This phase is the Spring of your cycle. Your hormone levels are gradually rising from their lowest, during menstruation, to their peak, during ovulation. This means each day of this phase you start feeling more vibrant and energised. During this phase your body benefits the most from energising cardio and strength based workouts like low impact cardio and strength pilates. You can really increase the intensity and go for your goals in this phase, as you're able to build muscle more easily. We want to eat lots of light, fresh foods in this phase, making sure to get enough lean protein and complex carbs to fuel our workouts. It's a great time to set intentions and work towards your goals.
